Did you Know?

Q;Why do I need to hire someone to service my pool?

A: Most people believe that they can net out the leaves or debris flowing on the water and poor in some chlorine and their pool will be ok.
That is incorrect. We not only clean the pool(Net out debris floating on water, and vacuum dust on pool bottom), we also maintain the pool equipment, as well as balance the chemicals(Most important). We not only make sure your pool is properly chlorinated, but balance your ph, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, and TDS.  Too high or too low can ruin your plaster, equipment and can unsafe to swim in.

Q:What is PH?

A: PH is the measurement of the pools hydrogen ion content, or how acidic or alkaline your water is. Too low and the water is corrosive & can irritate skin and eyes. Too high and water is cloudy and effects chlorine.

Q:What is total alkalinity?

A:Total of all alkaline components in water. Too low can cause green water & plaster etching. Too high can cause cloudy water and make chlorine ineffective.

Q: What is calcium hardness?

A:It is the mineral content of the water, mainly calcium. Too low can cause plaster etching and corrosion. Too high can cause scale formation, clogged pipes, eye irritation, & rough plaster surfaces.

Q:Are there any alternatives  to chlorine?

A: In spa's, yes. We can use bromine. Bromine is a disinfectant (like chlorine) but doesn't produce an objectionable odor and eye irritation. But bromine is used only for spas.

All pools must use chlorine. But a salt system is the closest to not using chlorine.

Q:What is a salt system?

A: A salt system is a chlorine generation system. Instead of pouring liquid chlorine into water we add salt to the pool directly. The salt then gets an electric charge witch then changes the chlorine type. The result: No eye burning and irritating of skin. 99% of people are happy with a salt system. (Highly recommended)

Q:What is a spa drain?

A: Spa's  need to be drained every 6-12 months. (depends on often used) WE drain all the water out, clean filters, tub, and spa cover, refill and balance chemicals.
